Takapotku Open 2010
Takapotku is a five-round McMahon go tournament held in Helsinki during the weekend of 6th and 7th February 2010. Takapotku is the largest annual tournament in northern Europe, reaching around a hundred participants each year. We aim to provide a pleasant tournament experience for players of all levels, from beginners to high dans.
The tournament is part of the Pandanet Go European Cup tournament series.
Rules
- Five-round McMahon tournament
- All games are even games, no handicap stones
- Japanese rules & EGF tournament rules
- The only tiebreaker is SOS
- Class A EGF tournament
- Main time 60 minutes
- Canadian overtime 15 stones in five minutes
- Komi 7 points (draws are possible)

The tournament was a big success with 116 go players from seven different countries participating in the tournament. The tournament was won by Du Qing, 6 dan, with five wins and no losses.
