The tournament has traditionally been able to arrange everyone with a suitable accommodation for their budget and other preferences. This Helsinki tournament has plenty of options from high-quality hotels to free sleeping bag accommodation. If you need any help with getting suitable accommodation, please contact the organizers.
Hotels and hostels
The organizers recommend the following hotels for high-quality accommodation:
- Holiday Inn Helsinki City West, about 300 meters from the venue
- Radisson SAS Seaside Hotel, about 1 km from the venue
The organizers recommend the following places for affordable hostel accommodation:
- Omena Hotel Eerikinkatu, about 2 km from the venue, only four-person rooms
- Omena Hotel Lönnrotinkatu, about 2 km from the venue, only four-person rooms
- Travellers Home, about 2 km from the venue
- Lönnrot Hostel, about 2 km from the venue
Student Union accommodation
The Helsinki University Student Union has the capability to arrange an accommodation for those who can bring their own sleeping bag and wish to have a free accommodation for the entire tournament weekend. Because the Student Union is reallocating and repairing their rooms, the details of this accommodation are not yet available. More information will be available in early January, a month before the tournament.
Private accommodation
Traditionally some local players have given accommodation to visiting players in their private homes. Please contact the organizers to find more about these offerings.
